This group of pages is to create a reference version of the macros I use in game. I will include most if not all of them. I will have class specific pages for each class as I add them. General macros I will place here.
A little background is needed here to explain some of my naming conventions, especially for the Druid and Rogue macros.
I use a trackball to play the game, one with 2 buttons so I don’t have any of the fancy “Click” bindings that you find with people with 2-12 button mice. I also don’t like to use 1-+ on the normal part of the keyboard and will only occasionally use F1-F5.
What I uses is the numeric key pad and on the druid/rogue I have a very specific mapping such that Btn(?) refers to numeric keypad ?, so Btn1 is numeric key pad 1. I also am using Bartender to arrange my macros/abilities in the same pattern as the numeric keypad usable buttons are arranged.
So you get the following number of columns in a row.
| / (slash) | * (star) | - (dash or minus) | |
| 7 | 8 | 9 | + (plus) |
| 4 | 5 | 6 | |
| 1 | 2 | 3 | |
| 0 | . (period or dot) |

If DPS in a 5 Man Dungeon.
Target the Tank, type:
/focus tar
Now create a macro with the following:
#showtooltip /tar focustarget /cast "some primary spell you cast"
If in a raid and you have main and or secondary target assists and need to switch to their target quickly the above will work as well.
For Anub’arak in ToC during WotLK I used the following macro on my Mage for the Ice Spheres.
#showtooltip /tar Frost Orb /cast icelance
During normal mode I would run around spamming this covering the room with ice.
